In this article, I am going to tell you about all the foods that start with X and all their benefits. And if you think I have missed some foods, you can mention them in the comments and I’ll look up to it.

Obviously, there are not many foods with the letter X and not many fruits or veggies either (You can check our blogs on that topic). But I did my homework and gathered a bunch of foods that start with X for you to get familiar with.

1. Xylocarpus granatum

These fruits are globular and large (10-25cm in diameter) like a cannonball or bowling ball, brown with corky seeds. A homemade Chinese dish common throughout China is simple and healthy. According to traditional Chinese medicine, this soup has a cosmetic effect, making the skin firm and shiny. Although easy to prepare, this Chinese soup is delicious, flavorful, and nutritious.

4. Xiaolongbao

Tender hot steamed dumplings made of thin, slightly sticky rice dough with meat fillings, rich spices, and broth, plus three sauces to choose from. Delicious and unexpectedly satisfying.

5. Xavier’s soup

Another dish among the foods that start with X is Xavier’s soup. Xavier soup is an Italian soup made from chicken broth. Usually (traditionally) served on the feast of St. Francis Xavier at the beginning of December each year.

6. Xanthan gum

Xoi is the word used for sticky rice in Vietnam. They are very popular and is often eaten for breakfast. Moreover, they could be eaten with many different dishes. For example, you can eat Xoi with peanuts and sesame seeds, black beans, chicken, and an egg.

11. Xidufen

Chinese soup popular in Yunnan is a vegetable soup that includes peas, garlic, ginger, coriander, Sichuan pepper oil, green onions, and dried chili flakes.

12. Xi Gua Lao

13. Xoconostle

16. Xia Mi

“Rice prawns” (named for their tiny size, not because they contain rice). This is the Chinese word for an ingredient popular in much of Asia and South America: small dehydrated shrimp. They are used to add a savory umami flavor to many dishes, sometimes used as a condiment rather than the main ingredient. Bonus Points: They are used in XO sauce; A spicy, savory seafood-based sauce made in Hong Kong.

17. Xacuti

This curry, popular in Goa, India, is mainly based on coconut, chili, spices, and white poppy seeds, and usually contains lamb or chicken. It is related to the Portuguese dish known as chacuti.

18. Xavier steak

XAVIER STEAK

This is a recipe for a regular steak topped with a flavorful row of cooked asparagus stalks and topped with melted Swiss cheese. It may be named after a person or place named Xavier, or after Saint Francis Xavier, the origin of this place is a little unclear.

19. Xampinyons en Salsa

This classic Spanish tapas dish translates to “mushrooms in sauce”. To prepare champignons with salsa sauce, wild mushrooms are prepared with a lot of garlic, sherry, and herbs. Tasty!

20. XO sauce

XO Sauce

XO Sauce is a hot seafood sauce made in Hong Kong that is a mixture of dried scallops, chilli peppers, ham, and fried garlic. Its unique taste has made it a staple food in many regions of China.
