Persimmon is an orange-colored berry with a thin skin, fleshy and sweet. Persimmon contains many vitamins, especially A, C and B; as well as trace elements: iodine, iron, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, manganese, magnesium. Pigeon plum is a small berry native to a tropical tree that is widespread on the shores of the islands of the Caribbean archipelago. Pulasan is the fruit of a tropical tree plant of the same name. The external appearance is characterized by an oval shape, relatively large size (up to 7 cm in diameter), as well as a peel covered with many conical spines. Their length reaches 1 cm. For culinary purposes, the flesh contained inside is white or beige in color with an intensely sweet taste and a pleasant aroma.
