The other name of Cardoon is Artichoke Thistle. The high content of vegetable protein allows the Cardoon to be used as an alternative to hard-to-digest legumes or meat. It is also used as a medicinal plant. It is noted that it has diuretic and choleretic properties, therefore it will be useful for people with problems in the gastrointestinal tract.


8. Celeriac

Root celery in the first year forms a rosette of leaves and the root crop (underground storage organ) is round or slightly flat, with spongy or dense pulp, and in the second year it expels a peduncle, the umbrellas of which contain seeds with a specific aroma.
